But Not for Me
But Not for Me is a film about the search for fulfillment through artistic expression, the lines we draw as we struggle to define ourselves, and the underlying truths that ultimately connect us.
Young writer Will barely scrape by on the meager salary that he earns from his day job—a job that leaves his soul feeling as empty as his wallet. It’s a struggle, that is, living in a city that promises so much but offers so little.
When Will meets Hope, a beautiful violinist with whom he shares a love of music (as well as a wall) his spirits are lifted. Reinvigorated by this intriguing muse next door, he convinces Hope to perform with him, and the city streets become a wonder-filled world stage from which to share his poetry.
While these two may hit the perfect musical notes, their relationship isn’t always so harmonious.
